THE NIPKOW NETWORK

The NIPKOW PROGRAMM has, over the years, not only acquired a vast stockpile of professional contacts in the film and media world in Berlin and beyond, but its scores of former and current fellowship-holders have shared and continue to share their own set of local, national and international contacts and connections with the programme and their NIPKOW colleagues. This has contributed to the development of an interactive pan-European network of production and industry professionals in both technical and creative spheres, as well as in the areas of financing, co-production, marketing, and distribution. Having recognised the value of such harvested information, the NIPKOW PROGRAMM has created an ever expanding data bank which comprises data on NIPKOW's own contacts and on its fellowship-holders and their contacts and achievements. The result is a unique archive that can be a valuable resource for fruitful exchanges, rewarding partnerships and successful international co-productions. Because of its experience, network of contacts and record of achievements, the NIPKOW PROGRAMM< has been asked to participate in conceiving programmes and platforms for activities such as Connecting Cottbus (the East-West film market during the Cottbus Festival), co-production symposiums organised by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and the Berlin Film Festival, and the Talent Campus of the Berlin Film Festival. It is also invited each year to the Rotterdam Cinemart and xxx... The NIPKOW PROGRAMM holds its own workshop once a year some time in late Autumn.
